Meet our SU Interns 24/25
In September 2024, we relaunched the Scripture Union internship program! We were delighted to take on two young people with a passion for ministry and a heart to be discipled - Heaveny Curpen and Lisa Garcia. They have been an excellent addition to the Scripture Union Team, working with us on School Retreats, Young Adult Events and Resource Development. This has involved writing and delivering content based on the Bible, developing short devotionals for our social media, and helping in the planning and implementation of events and camps. They will be with us until the end of May 2025 and we’re excited for everything that they will continue to add to the work of Scripture Union!

My name is Heaven, I’m 21 years old and an SU Intern for this year. I volunteered at CSSM for the first time in the summer of 2024 and because of its impact in my faith journey, I decided to apply for the internship. I got to witness the hunger and drive for bible teaching in our young generation, and the SU internship offered me the opportunity to develop my skills to teach and better lead at other camps like these.

Hi my name is Lisa! I am 19 years old and I am an intern this year with Scripture Union. I have been going to SU camps ever since I was 5, so they have really seen me grow up! Then this year I got the privilege to work with them and give back to the place that has given me so much. Ovoca Manor and Cssm have always been my safe place, the highlight of my year and where I belong, so it has been an honour to be a part of this incredible work. I have learnt so much about how to effectively engage with the Bible and how to facilitate that, and even from the business side of how the organisation is run. I hope to keep growing in my faith, serving and glorifying God!
